Today I am (for the moment anyway) at peace with the world. I listened to Vivaldi's Gloria, read John Chapter 14 (I only read the Bible like once every two weeks so don't be impressed) and felt that the world is good.
BTW, anyone who wants to know who Lady Mardhmain is, read Brideshead Revisited by Evelyn Waugh. You will enjoy it, I promise. I am reading up a storm (nothing else to do but watch reruns, which I like up to a point...especially reruns of Supernatural and Criminal Intent.

Annie and I are fans of Criminal Intent. We have the first couple of seasons on DVD. Last week we watched most of them again. We were taking a break from the 1995 Pride and Prejudice, which we have watched about a hundred times during the past year. Not an exaggeration. We have some screwy habits....I agree with you about Brideshead Revisited. I read it many years ago, after the British TV series came out. It's probably time for me to re-read that one, too. But first, since Halloween is upon us, I'll re-read Dracula first. I do a lot more re-reading than first-time reading these days. But I'm about halfway through Boardwalk Empire, about Atlantic City's checkered past. A so-so book, but not painfully bad.
