Happy St Patrick's day. Ireland is now one of the only remaining "Catholic" countries left. Congrats, guys.
Great retreat in West Va last weekend. It turned out to be a retreat for the Catholic Women's Clubs so I was in the midst of a great many church ladies. It was beautiful there--the quilts in the rooms were sewn by West Va. ladies, and the crucifixes carved by West Va carvers. They kept plying the retreatants with food and treats-- I walked into my room and found a packet of fudge, chocolate, cookies...I knew this would happen, but hadn't expected such a plethora of goodies so soon. We also got ice cream on Saturday night. The priest who led the retreat was great, and was a teacher so we learned a great deal. The topic was the Easter Triduum. Yes, Easter is coming, the feast that so confounds the secular world. I might eat a Cadbury cream egg in celebration. Maybe. They are so damn good.
Went to hospice for training. It is a happy thing, hospice.

Happy St. Patrick's Day to you, Tina! It sounds like you had a great retreat!
